Electronic anti-sway

Load oscillations occur when cranes are moved with rope-guided loads. They also occur when forces such as wind or skew act on the load. The positioning system is used to control the crane, to automatically position it and also to stop it in time. During all travel movements, the sway of load is calmed again. A camera measurement system detects the movement of the load with high speed and precision. It can be used on any type of crane and for lifting heights of up to 80 m.

Camera system

The camera measurement system contains up to two Gigabit Ethernet cameras and synchronized high-power flashes. Each camera can capture up to 50 readings per second of two reflectors. The measurement is insensitive to sunlight and also suitable for industrial ambient conditions.

Track control for cranes

Cranes, which move on rails, are held on the rail with track guiding elements. The track controller assumes the task of controlling the crane in such a way that it moves centrally or parallel to the rail within the limits of these mechanical limits. As a result, the forces acting on the rail are considerably reduced and possible jamming of the crane is avoided. The controller uses, among other things, cameras to determine the position of the crane to the rail very accurate.

Compatible with predecessor systems

Easy renewal of obsolete anti-sway systems

LEHNRD has implemented various interfaces for older systems. This makes it possible to use LEHNRD as a replacement device, for example for the CeSAR, CeSAR maxx systems or the India system. Immediately after connecting and updating the PROFIBUS configuration, LEHNRD is functional. No further changes are required in the PLC software.

Installation is also simple. Since the housing of the camera measurement system HEG2040 corresponds to that of the CeSAR systems or the camera housing „compact“, an exchange is very easy.

The concrete implementation of each interface is described in a reference document and is available on request.
